1,090 students honored with Anandaram Baruah Award 2023 in Silchar; SCS student Ritoja Deb secures 9th Rank

In a joyous occasion, the Department of Higher Education in collaboration with the governments of both Silchar and Assam awarded the Anandaram Baruah Prize 2023 to 1,090 students who passed the metric examination with 75% or higher marks.

The formal event, attended by dignitaries including Kaushik Rai, the legislator from Lakhipur, Mihir Kanti Shome, legislator from Udharbond, Numan Mahatta, the Police Superintendent of Cachar, and Rohan Kumar Jha, the District Magistrate of Cachar, took place today.

Under the Anandaram Baruah Award 2023, a total financial grant of Rs 15,000 was distributed among the successful students who demonstrated exceptional academic achievement in the metric examinations.

This initiative aims to recognize and reward the hard work and dedication of students who have excelled in their studies, fostering a culture of academic excellence within the region. The presence of distinguished guests added a sense of prestige to the ceremony, creating an atmosphere of celebration and achievement among the students and their families.
