117th martyrdom day of Khudiram Bose observed with tribute and cultural events

The 117th martyrdom day of Khudiram Bose was commemorated with a series of events organized by the Shaheed Khudiram Smriti Raksha Committee in Silchar.

The day began with a solemn tribute at the Khudiram statue, where members of various organizations, including Nakul Ranjan Pal, Nihar Ranjan Pal, and others, offered floral tributes.

Following the ceremony, the crowd was moved by the rendition of the famous song "Ekbar Bidai De Maa Ghoori Aschi," dedicated to Khudiram's sacrifice.

In his address, former teacher Subrata Chandra Nath elaborated on the significance of Khudiram's martyrdom, emphasizing his role in awakening the spirit of independence among a subjugated nation.

Nihar Ranjan Pal reflected on the revolutionary’s enduring legacy and the contrast between their vision of a unified, secular India and the reality of a partitioned nation.

The event concluded with a group performance by artists from AIDSO and AIMSS, celebrating Khudiram Bose's contributions to India's freedom struggle.
