Lailapurarea of Dholai in a tensed situation yet again. Assam police has been successful in pushing back the Mizo encroachment by 1.5 kilometres but they still are 5 kilometres inside the territory of Assam. It was only yesterday that a grenade was thrown allegedly by the Mizo civilians to threaten the police, but apparently it didn't stop there. Two more explosions have been reported bt the forest officials from last night and today morning.

The Mizos have adamantly been obstructing the construction of the road connecting Khulecherra with Dholakhal. The government commissioned work has not been possible to be completed due to the abuse and threats by the Mizos, which is the reason why the police went there to intervene.

The Superintendent of Police Vaibhav Chandrakant Nimbalkar is currently at the border with DC Cachar, ADGP Harmeet Singh, and other senior police officials. As informed by the Superintendent, the situation is in control now.

Not only this, the fear prevails amongst the locals as well. Many had to empty their homes and move places in the fear of the miscreants. They even bombed the Painom LP school, established by government as per records. Even the salaries are being sectioned by Assam Government itself.

Many locals even thanked Himanta-led Assam Government for all that they are doing, even the NRC which will help in plucking out the illegal immigrants from Myanmar, who most probably are behind all this mayhem. They also supported the construction of the road and stated that it was viable for the patrolling of the area by the forest officials.
