63 year old man drowns in floodwater in Cachar district

The body of 63-year-old Chottalal Rabidas was recovered from the Barak River in Kashipur, Cachar. The alarming incident occurred on the Bagan Road in Kashipur.

Rabidas had been missing since last evening, and this morning his body was found near his home in the Barak River. Local residents discovered the body and immediately informed the police.

Upon receiving the news, police officials arrived at the scene and retrieved the body. It was then sent to Silchar Medical College and Hospital for post-mortem examination.

This incident adds to the growing list of flood-related casualties in the region.
