90-year-old succumbs to death after train runs over him at Silchar -Jiribam route

A heartbreaking incident occurred early Tuesday morning on the Silchar-Jiribam rail route.

Nilbraj Singha, a 90-year-old man, was struck and killed by a running train on June 11 while attempting to cross the tracks in Udharbond's Laothai Village.

The impact of the accident resulted in the elderly man's immediate death. Locals gathered at the scene to recover his body, and the police arrived shortly after to assist.

Nilbraj Singha's body was then sent to Silchar Medical College and Hospital for a postmortem examination.
