Big truck, bigger bust: Karimganj police find ₹115 Crore worth of drugs.

In a major crackdown, Karimganj Police, in collaboration with the STF, seized an enormous amount of illegal drugs during a raid at Puwamara, Karimganj Bypass.

The operation, led by IGP Partha Sarathi Mahanta and SP Partha Pratim Das, uncovered a secret chamber in a 12-wheeler truck containing 3.5 lakh Yaba tablets and 1,300 grams of heroin. The total market value of the drugs is estimated at a whopping ₹115 crore.

Four individuals were arrested in connection with the bust, including Naimul Haq, the truck's owner. Notably, his son, Habib, was already in jail for drug trafficking.

This latest operation underscores the increasing vigilance of law enforcement agencies in the region as they continue their battle against the drug trade.
