AAI contribute for establishing Nuclear Medicine Facility in Cachar Cancer Hospital

Cachar Cancer Hospital, located in Meherpur, Silchar receives huge assistance of a sum of Rs. 11.40. crores from the Airport Authority of India (AAI) under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project. It was done for the purpose of establishing nuclear medicine facility for the treatment of cancer patients.

The first instalment of Rs. 3.34 Crore was handed by the Airport Director to Padmashree winner Dr. Ravi Kannan, Director of Cachar Cancer Hospital and Research Centre (CCHRC) through DC, Cachar.

Following this, to have an overview of the work progress, a team from AAI, Silchar Airport visited Cachar Cancer Hospital. Airport Director, however, says he's satisfied with the work progress while Dr. Ravi Kannan expressed his thankfulness and said that with the nuclear medicine facility establishment, no patients will have to go outside the valley for treatment.
