Achievement for AUS ; Assam University achieved NPTEL Active SPOC award at Kolkata.

Assam University Silchar has achieved another feather in its cap as Dr. Prodipto Das as an ambesader of NPTEL local chapter of Assam University has achieved NPTEL Active SPOC award for January to June, 2023 session on 1st July,2023 at Kolkata. The award function was organised by IIT kharagpur.
This has been achieved due to the performance and participation of the candidates for the January to June, 2023 semester at Assam University's NPTEL centre.

NPTEL conduct two semesters from January to April one semester and conduct exam by May and publish result by June ;  similarly another semester starts from July to October and conduct exam by November and and publish result by the end of December.
NPTEL is National Program for Technology Enhanced Learning. It is a consurtium for MOOCs courses in India.
It runs by 7 IITs and IISC , Bangalore. Since 2003,  NPTEL has started its operation in our country as well as in abroad. Since 2017  they started offering courses   in online mode.  Each and every student of any academic institutions can opt NPTEL courses along with their  regular degree program. NPTEL provide certificate courses of different duration with different credits. NPTEL also provide certificate course for employed people and for house wives without age bar and qualification bar.
NPTEL also provide certificate courses for Assam University 's NPTEL local chapter has started its operation in 2017 since then almost 400/ students got certificates and many more elite and gold elite certificates have been received in earlier semesters.
In this semester NPTEL Assam University chapter has enrolled large number of students and around 250 students got their certificate from different course. Assam University NPTEL chapter has its test centre at sonai road for online course.

Assam University's NPTEL chapter has received Star  NPTEL certificate award because of one believer student   from Assam University 's  NPTEL centre and NPTEL Active SPOC certificate award on 1st July , 2023 at Kolkata city centre 1.
As a NPTEL brand ambassador Dr. Prodipto Das has achieved the award for playing an instrumental role in promoting  Assam University's NPTEL chapter vibrant and Active.
Vice-chancellor of Assam University Silchar Prof. Rajive Mohan Pant has appluded the centre's achievement.
