Actress Noor Malabika Das of Karimganj found dead at Mumbai residence

Actor Noor Malabika Das (37), hailing from Assam, was found dead in her flat at Lokhandwala in the Oshiwara area of Andheri, according to reports. Police discovered her decomposed body hanging from a fan in her flat on June 6.

Neighbors had earlier alerted the Oshiwara Police after detecting a foul smell emanating from her apartment, prompting the police to force their way into the flat.

The exact cause of her death is yet to be ascertained, although suicide is suspected. Her last rites were conducted on June 9 after no one came forward to claim her body.

Her family had reportedly returned to their native place two weeks earlier, leaving her alone in the flat.

Noor Malabika Das, a former air hostess, later made a name for herself in “The Trial,” in which she played a supporting role besides actor Kajol.

She also appeared in several Hindi films and web series, including "Teekhi Chatni," "Siskiyaan," "Walkaman," "Charamsukh," "Dekhi Andekhi," and "Backrod Hustale."
