Anomalies in sub-registrar's office in Katigorah; unlicensed mohoris duping commoners

Katigorah, 29th September: Self proclaimed mohoris are carrying out their task in sub registrar's office in Katigorah, under Cachar district of Assam.

For buying and selling of land, mohoris, play a significant role, for which, without checking the valid licenses of these mohoris, commoners fall prey and are being duped.

Many even loose their life time's earning duped by these mohoris. The documents signed and drafted by these mohoris, many a times are not accepted by the competent authorities.

One such fake mohori, identified as Sakib Ahmed Barbhuiya of Katigorah was caught on camera duping one such commoner.

Sakib used to work with expelled mohori Jiaur Rehman and only through him learnt the nuances of this trade.

Others too are involved in this nefarious activities for which the matter has been brought forward before sub registrar of Katigorah, Jenifa Sultana Ahmed for taking strict action in the days to come.
