Another Day, another coal scammer in the trap! Transport Dept. Staff, Swapan Guha arrested by Cachar Police.
An FIR was logged stating that some trucks loaded with coal have passed from Meghalaya to Assam through the Digarkhal Gate.

After getting over senior enforcement inspector Bhaba Kalita and coal mafia Kari Taher Ahmed, yesterday. On continuation of investigation, Cachar Police has arrested one more scammer named swapan Guha an enforcement checker.
An FIR was logged stating that some trucks loaded with coal have passed from Meghalaya to Assam through the Digarkhal Gate. Taking notice to the complaint, cachar police started to investigate on the matter and after an overnight interrogation, Guha got arrested today afternoon.
As per gathered information, Guha was one of the masterminds in the coal smuggling field. He managed to escape as soon as e came to know that police started their investigation. However the police traced him and arrested the mastermind Guha.
According to Superintendent of Police, Ramandeep Kaur, the investigating officers had collected enough evidence to suggest Guha's involvement in the Coal Scam and that is why he has been arrested.
She also added, “The matter is being investigated and so far, we have arrested three individuals. We will see if there are more people involved in this. There was a violation of Government's SOP with regards to the transportation of vehicles to the state and that is what we are investigating."
