Around 7 kg ganja seized in Karimganj, 2 caught

Another raid of karimganj police has become successful against illicit drugs. The karimganj police have successfully arrested 2 persons under the possession of Cannabis (ganja) from Kanishail under Karimganj district yesterday. The operation under the led of karimganj police based on a secret information raided the house of Gouranga Dutta and seized around 6.17 kg of ganja. Both Goranga and his wifer were arrested immediately. 

"Yesterday around 1:30 pm, based on a secret source, karimganj police raided a house in Kanishail and were able to recover 6.17 kg of ganja from that spot. 2 persons were arrested in this regardand there hunt for a third suspect is still on as that person succeedes in fleeing from the scene " as said by OC of karimganj police station

According to the karimganj police, a case has been registered against the culprits under the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substance Act (NDPS), 1985 and the case number is -895/21_20b/25/27
