Arunachali woman face racist remarks, abuse and assault in Guwahati | Watch

A deeply disturbing incident of racial discrimination has come to light in Guwahati, where a woman from Arunachal Pradesh was reportedly subjected to racial slurs and a physical attack by another woman at a shopping center in Beltola on November 1.

The distressing episode unfolded when the victim was waiting in the checkout queue and another woman unlawfully barged in, causing a confrontation. The victim objected to the intrusion, prompting the other woman to allegedly hurl racist abuses and physically assault her. Remarkably, the victim managed to capture the entire incident on her smartphone, clearly displaying the abusive and violent behavior of the assailant.

In response to the assault, the victim promptly filed a complaint at the Basistha police station in the city. Authorities are currently investigating the incident, aiming to bring justice to the victim and ensure that such acts of discrimination and violence are met with appropriate legal action.
