Assam Budget 2023-24 : know the facilities that the students will get from the state government.

Assam Finance Minister Neog presented a budget with an aggregate expenditure estimated at Rs 3.21 Lakh crore for the year. Finance Minister Neog announced that Assam's GDP estimates will grow to Rs 5.5 lakh crore in 2023-24 from Rs 3.93 lakh crore in 2021-22.

1. providing Free Bicycle to all the students studying in class- IX in Government and provincialized secondary schools,

2. Providing free text-books and

3. Textbook assistance to students upto graduation,

4. Hostel mess dues waiver of maximum Rs 2000 per month for under - graduate and post - graduate courses in degree and polytechnic colleges,

5. Scooty to all meritorious boys and girls who secure first division in higher secondary examination,

6. Mobility grant of Rs 10,000/- per year to post- graduate students- excluding medical students,

7. Admission fee waiver to all BPL students, Anundoram Barooah Award to eligible students passing HSLC,
