In a fervent display of political solidarity and fervor, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma spearheaded a vibrant election campaign rally in support of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Parimal Shukla Vaidya for the upcoming Silchar Lok Sabha elections. The rally, dubbed the "Vijay Sankalp," unfolded at the esteemed D.N.H. School ground, hosted by Udharbond Samiti, drawing in a throng of several thousand BJP enthusiasts and supporters.
Addressing the spirited gathering, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma exuded confidence, declaring the forthcoming elections as a destined victory for the BJP. With a resounding assertion, he proclaimed the party's anticipated triumph, predicting a sweeping victory with an overwhelming margin of several lakh votes. Emphasizing BJP's unwavering commitment to the developmental aspirations of the populace, he pledged that the party would surpass the milestone of 400 seats in the upcoming elections.
Highlighting BJP's electoral prospects in Assam, Chief Minister Sharma projected an unequivocal victory, asserting that the party would secure all 14 parliamentary seats in the state. Additionally, he expressed staunch support for Parimal Shukla Vaidya, confidently predicting his triumph in Silchar with an impressive mandate of three lakh votes. In a promising announcement, he assured that a BJP victory would translate into the creation of 50,000 jobs by 2024.
Furthermore, Chief Minister Sharma underscored the party's commitment to welfare initiatives, promising the distribution of Arunoday among 50,000 individuals in Udharbond following the Lok Sabha elections. Drawing a contrast with Mamata Banerjee's policies in West Bengal, he emphasized the enhanced benefits provided to citizens in Assam, exemplified by the increased Arunoday payment of 1,250 rupees.
In a pointed retort to Mamata Banerjee's remarks during her visit to Silchar, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma criticized the state of affairs in West Bengal, characterizing it as "very bad." Moreover, he dismissed the prospect of a Congress resurgence, likening the party to outdated currency notes, asserting its prolonged stay in the political ICU.
The Vijay Sankalp rally also witnessed the presence of notable BJP figures including Rajdeep Ray, Kaishik Roy, Dipayan Chakraborty, and Mihir Kanti Som, alongside fervent supporters and workers, rallying behind the party's cause and the Lok Sabha candidate Parimal Shukla Vaidya.
