Assam-Mizoram border conflict begins again, SP Cachar Vaibhav Chandrakant Nimbalkar injured in the crossfire, likely to be airlifted tomorrow.

A heart-wrenching clash emerged out today which has turned the people cold. The conflict occurred between Mizoram and Assam, due to the border skirmish. In this horrible incident, 65 got injured and were rushed to Dholai BPHC. After a primary checkup was done, 47 were referred to SMCH for better treatment. Amongst the other officials, OC Dholai Sahabuddin was also rushed to the hospital and doctors have stated that his condition is stable now.

Unfortunately, Samsur Zaman Barbhuiya, a jawan of 21 IR Battalion (Assam) has been declared dead along with four other policemen in Silchar Medical College and Hospital.

The Principal of SMCH Dr. Babul Bezbaruah stated that the authorities have made special arrangements so that the victims of the Mizo clash within the territory of Assam can be taken care of. Additionally, a team of doctors is ready and attending the patients in Lailapur who couldn't be rushed in here.

Ambulances are rushing towards Lailapur with no pause. The number of people wounded may rise even further. However, the shelling has stopped for now and the number of people is estimated to be injured on the other side too. DC Cachar, SP Hailakandi, who is presently in charge of Cachar after SP Cachar Vaibhav Chandrakant Nimbalkar was injured by a bullet are still on the spot of the clash with a huge battalion of both state and central forces.

SP Vaibhav Chandrakant Nimbalkar who is in ICU presently, however, is likely to be airlifted to Mumbai. The bullet has struck him at his hip and penetrated through his femur bone and needs to be operated on. He is conscious and has talked to his family members.

On the other hand, PSO Liton Suklabaidya who had incurred multiple bullets has been declared dead in SMCH. Not only him but four more security personnel have also been declared dead.
