Ashok Singhal, Forest Minister as well as MLA Parimal Suklabaidya went to Lailapur police outpost, as per CM Himanta Biswa Sarma and Assam government's instructions. The main focus was to draw general public in confidence so that the economic blockade going on there from 26yh July, 2021 can be withdrawn which has been going on after the horrible massacre, that ended up taking lives of the six Assam Police personnel within the territory of Cachar, at Mizoram border.

For some reason, before things could be conclusive, while discussion was going on between the officials, trucks bound to Mizoram started heading towards the border.

To this, the local public started pelting stones at those trucks which left many of them to be destructed. Sahab Uddin, officer incharge of Dholai Police Station rushed to get a hold of the situation but that fruited into nothing. Superintendent of police, Ramandeep Kaur rushed to the spot as well. Her being there changed the scenario a little, as in, people stopped pelting the stones, while the trucks had to return back to Silchar.

The reason as to why the trucks started to move towards Mizoram before an agreement was reached is still unknown. The drivers while asked stated that they were asked to depart by the Assam Police officials, as the minister would officially flag off the trucks marking the conclusion of the economic blockade.
