In a thrilling encounter at the Ground Judges Field in Guwahati, India Club (Silchar) emerged victorious by a commanding margin of 115 runs against 4 Season Club (ACA) in the 6th Assam Premier Club Championship, 2023-24.

Opting to bat first after winning the toss, India Club set a formidable total of 204/2 in their allotted 20 overs.

Led by an exceptional performance from their skipper, Parvej Musaraf, India Club's batting display was dominant. Musaraf showcased his batting prowess with a blistering knock of 122 runs off just 66 deliveries, including 11 boundaries and 4 sixes, at an impressive strike rate of 184.85.

His partnership with Prashant Kumar, who contributed a valuable 73 runs off 53 balls, propelled India Club to a challenging total. Despite losing Dibakar Johori early, the team managed to reach a formidable score, boosted by contributions from other batsmen.

In response, 4 Season Club struggled to keep up with the required run rate and lost wickets at regular intervals. Facing some disciplined bowling from India Club's bowlers, they could only muster 89/8 in their 20 overs.

Sudarshan Sinha emerged as the pick of the bowlers for India Club, claiming two crucial wickets while conceding just 15 runs in his spell.

Despite efforts from some of the 4 Season Club batsmen like Jitu Timung and ASIB Ali, who scored 26 and 24 runs respectively, they couldn't build substantial partnerships to challenge the target set by India Club.

The India Club bowlers maintained a tight grip on the game, with contributions from Sarupam Purakayastha, Sekhar Jyoti Barman, and others.

The match officials, including umpires Diganta Barman and Kailash Dutta, ensured fair play throughout the game, supported by third umpire Ramendra Dhar and scorers Manash Das and Nitul Ali.

With this victory, India Club (Silchar) stamped their authority in the championship, showcasing their dominance in the final round. Their comprehensive performance highlights their potential as a formidable force in the Assam cricket circuit.
