Assam University all set for the 20th Convocation; Here are some Dos and Don'ts you have to follow if you're visiting the event..

The 20th Convocation of Assam University will be held on 4th and 5th of March, 2023 from 12 noon onwards at Netaji Mukta Mancha of Assam University Silchar Campus and they just released a series of instructions which should be followed if you're interested to vist the event. 

Here are some do's & don'ts to be strictly followed by all the degree holders attending the programme.

Candidates who will be receiving their degrees on the particular dates should report at 8 am at the counters set up adjacent to the Bipin Chandra Pal auditorium near the main entryway of the University. 

The dresses will be distributed from 8-10 am on both the days. Candidates can wear their Convocation dress anywhere in the ground in front of Bipin Chandra Pal auditorium as the ground will be covered entirely. 

Candidates must show their hall tickets for collecting their dresses.Therefore, no dresses will be issued without proper hall tickets.

After the collection of dresses, the students will wear it and head towards the Convocation hall in a procession. Before the procession starts, they are requested to stay at Bipin Chandra Pal auditorium.

After collecting the dresses and placing them on, the students will then march towards the main entrance to stand in the queue, which will stretch from near the main entryway towards the heath centre.

The student volunteers will be there with playcards mentioning the degrees. The students will have to stand in queue behind the volunteers as per their degrees.

The students will then enter the Convocation hall when they will be asked to, & will accordingly take their respective seats .

The Gold Medal Awardee shall sit in the first chair of the first row in their respective designated seat.

There cannot be any shuffle of the students.No chair can be kept empty.

All the students should stand till the authority procession enters the Convocation hall and occupies their respective seats. The other instructions will be provided in the auditorium.

After the convocation ends,the students need to deposit the Convocation dress and obtain a sealed receipt from counters before collecting their certificates.

The certificate will not be issued without proper receipt of Convocation dress return.

Certificates will be issued from the designated counters placed near the dept of pharmaceutical sciences.
