Assam University announces phase wise re-opening of the campus; offline classes of UG/IG and PG courses shall commence from 15th November.
In pursuance of the resolution of the Executive Council dated 26th August 2021 regarding phase-wise re-opening of the Campus by Assam University.
Offline classes of UG/IG and PG courses shall commence from 15th November 2021. Following schools/departments are allowed to re-open according to the notification:
i) Albert Einstein School of Physical Sciences
ii) Horgobind Khurana School of Life Sciences
iii) Jawaharlal Nehru School of Management Studies
iv) E.P. Odum School of Environmental Sciences
v) Triguna Sen School of Technology
vi) Sushruta School of Medical and Paramedical Sciences
vii) Aryabhatta School of Earth Sciences
viii)Swami Vivekananda School of Library Sciences
ix) Department of Social Work
x) Department of Visual Arts
xi) Department of Performing Arts.
Classes will be held on alternate days. 1st Semester, 5th Semester & 9h Semester.
Classes will be held on Monday, Wednesday & Friday and 3rd Semester & 7th Semester classes will be held on Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday.
Students attending offline classes will have to produce a certificate of complete vaccination to respective HoDs for attending classes and may have to present the
same at the entry gate of the University whenever asked for. All the students, employees and other stakeholders are expected to abide by the
COVID protocol as set by MoHFW, GOI from time to time.
Hostels for students other than Research Scholars shall be opened from 1st January,
2022. There shall be no online classes from 10th November 2021 for the Departments/Semesters for which offline classes will start from mid-November. No employees shall be allowed on the Campus without any dose of COVID vaccine unless otherwise advised by a Medical expert, Online classes for all other courses shall continue as usual.
