AUS conducts consultation meet for civil society organizations

Vivekananda Kendra Institute of culture (VKIC) a project of Vivekanda Kendra Kanyakumari, is an institutional partner of C20 engagement group bestowed with the responsibility to take forward the discussion and consultation on the theme of " Diversity, Inclusion and Mutual Respect' to the various civil society organisation. In this connection, VKIC had recently organized a consultation meet for civil society organisation of Barak valley as a part of C 20 protocol for policy recommendations in collaboration with Assam University Silchar on 12th April ,2023 at Bipin Paul auditorium of the university.

This consultationn was attended by more than 45 Civil Society Organisation from the Barak valley and share about their work and how they are contributing to the applied version of theme in discussion across the country.The Civil societies were also requested to give their inputs in the form of recommendations to the Final seminar of C20 scheduled to be held on 10th and 11th May2023 at Namsai , Arunachal Pradesh.

Beside the representation of civil society the consultation was participated by the intellectuals, the academia and the researchers.

The key note address on the theme was delivered by prof. Rajive Mohan Pant, the vice chancellor of Assam University Silchar and the consultation was moderated by prof. M.Ganabhusan of the Assam University Silchar.

Along with the representatives of VKIC, Vivekanda Kendra Vidyalaya, Vivekananda Kendra Silchar a group of teachers from Assam University Silchar comprising of Dr. Joyashri Dey, Dr. Paromita Das, Dr. Debotosh Chakraborty and Dr. Albin Joseph coordinated the program.

Notable NGOs such as Bharat Sevasram Sangha, Lifeline Forever Foundation, Kriya Bharati, Nibedita Nari Sanstha, Joy Raadhe Seva Samiti, Borjalenga Pioneer Samiti, Deshbandhu Club Silchar, Sarvoday Trust, Uday er Pothe NGO, Netaji Sporting Club etc talked about their achievements, their incessant contribution to helping the people of Barak Valley lead better lives and their future plans.
