Ayodhya gears up for grand Deepotsav with 24 lakh Diyas lighting up 51 ghats

In anticipation of Diwali, Ayodhya is set to host a spectacular Deepotsav, promising a breathtaking display as 24 lakh diyas will illuminate 51 ghats across the city on Saturday.

The iconic Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Path, adorned with vibrant flowers, is gearing up for the grand Deepotsav celebration. The Uttar Pradesh government aims to establish a Guinness World Record with the massive display of approximately 24 lakh earthen lamps, creating a mesmerizing spectacle.

Adding cultural richness to the event, 48 tribal individuals from the Pakur district of Jharkhand have eagerly joined the festivities, arriving barefoot to symbolically connect with the sacred celebration. Orchestrated by the Jharkhand Pradesh Shri Ram Janaki Charitable Service Trust, their participation enhances the inclusive spirit of Deepotsav.

The highlight of tomorrow's celebration will be the ceremonial lamp lighting ceremony in the esteemed presence of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, promising a unique and culturally significant experience.

For the Pakur district residents, this marks their first-ever visit to Ayodhya, following the example set by the Santhali community in previous years. The convergence of diverse communities emphasizes the universal significance and appeal of Ayodhya's Deepotsav, fostering inclusivity and spreading joy beyond regional boundaries.
