The 74th British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) awards were announced on Sunday, April 11, 2021, at the Royal Albert Hall in London, honouring the best national and foreign films of 2020 and early 2021.

Actor Irrfan Khan passed away on April 29 last year after fighting neuroendocrine tumour for over two years , while Rishi Kapoor of cancer on April 30. Both the actors demise happend during the pandemic time in lockdown of the year 2020. Both of them were a gem for Indian cinema and television and a star for their Indian fans.

Irrfan Khan has featured in several international films including The Warrior, Namesake, Jurrasic Park, Life of Pi an Puzzle. Whereas Kapoor is also considered as one of the most successful actors in the history of Bollywood, who worked in Hindi films and received several accolades, including winning four Filmfare Awards, three Zee Cine Awards and a National Film Award. 

So receiving a 'Memorium' segment tribute at BAFTA is 'worth it' and a moment of pride for India and Indian fans.
