In the aftermath of a tragic landslide in Mizoram that claimed the lives of nearly thirty people, Pradip Roy from South Dholai's Frens Town was among the victims. Stepping forward to support the grieving family, Sanjan Kumar Purkayastha, BJP leader and executive member of the Cachar District Patni Parishad's central committee, led a delegation to Roy's home. On Friday, Purkayastha and the team handed over financial assistance to Roy's wife, Sumitra Roy.

The delegation included prominent figures such as Swapan Das, Gouranga Roy, and Ranjan Das. This compassionate gesture highlighted the community's solidarity and support for the family during this difficult time.
