Bodies of three Mar youths killed in Bhuban Pahar returned after protests

After extended protests, the Cachar police have finally returned the bodies of three Mar youths who were killed in Bhuban Pahar to their families. The handover occurred at the Silchar Medical College morgue on Saturday, where both family members and Mar community leaders were present to receive the remains.

The bodies were then transported to Markulin in the Lakhipur region, where traditional final rites were conducted. This marks the conclusion of a tense period for the families and Mar community, who had been advocating for the return of the bodies and justice for the deceased.
