Body of carpenter found hanging near factory in Silchar's Chirukandi, police investigate

The body of Nuruddin Barbhuiya, a resident of Dudhpatil Mathura Ghat, was found hanging from a tree outside a furniture factory in Silchar's Chirukandi area on Sunday morning, causing a stir in the local community.

Nuruddin, approximately 40 years old and the son of Tamiz Ali, lived in a rented house in Chirukandi with his wife and two children. He had been working as a carpenter at the furniture factory for the past five years. On Saturday morning, Nuruddin left home for work as usual but did not return in the afternoon, prompting concern among his family.

The discovery of his body the next morning shocked local residents, who promptly informed the Tarapur Police Outpost. Police officers arrived at the scene, recovered the body, and transported it to Silchar Medical College for further investigation. The circumstances surrounding Nuruddin's death remain unclear, and an investigation is ongoing to determine the cause and any potential foul play involved.
