On 25 October, Wednesday, a tragic incident took place in cachar district's Makhanpur under Jirighat police station. A father-daughter duo succumbed to death consecutively.
Moin uddin (65) went for morning walk and did not return. Saleha begum (38) went looking for him and died after watching her father's dead body. Mysterious murder or cardiac arrests nobody knows.
Both the dead bodies were recovered by the officials from the Jirighat Police Outpost. The bodies were found in front of a residence and the resident said that both of them suffered cardiac arrest one after another. The father died first and later when the daughter saw her father lying dead, she too collapsed on the spot.
Lakhipur SDPO, Kulapradeep Bhattacharyaa said that a case has been registered and the Police is investigating the nature of death. “We are waiting for the Medical Report to fetch more details. The process of investigation has started."
