Cachar Police seize 3 kg of Ganja from suspect at ISBT Silchar

In a covert operation launched based on confidential information, law enforcement officers successfully intercepted and seized three kilograms of cannabis from the possession of Chandan Das, a resident of Rangpur Korati gram at Ramnagar ISBT campus, Silchar.

The operation, which unfolded yesterday at approximately 7 PM, targeted Das as he intended to transport the illicit substance to other states via Guwahati from Silchar aboard a Night Super Bus.

Acting swiftly upon the tip-off, authorities confronted Das at the bus terminal, where he was found carrying the contraband concealed within a backpack. The seizure marks a significant victory in the ongoing efforts to curb illegal drug trafficking in the region.

Further legal actions are now underway as authorities work to dismantle any associated networks and prevent the flow of narcotics through transportation channels.
