Cachar Police seize 330 grams of suspected heroin worth ₹2 crores

On the evening of August 12, 2024, Cachar Police apprehended Abdul Hassan Laskar, 20, from Dungripar, Sonai, at Natun Bazaar under Sonai Police Station's jurisdiction. Laskar was found carrying a bag that contained 23 soap boxes filled with a substance suspected to be heroin.

Upon thorough search, the police seized approximately 330.07 grams of the suspected heroin, which has an estimated black market value of ₹2 crores. The contraband is believed to have been smuggled from Aizawl, Mizoram.
