Cachar Police seize heroin worth Rs. 3 Cr: 3 smugglers arrested

In a significant victory against drug trafficking, Cachar police conducted a successful operation resulting in the seizure of drugs worth 3 crore rupees at Ramnagar ISBT in Silchar.

The raid, conducted on Thursday night, led to the recovery of 572 grams of heroin from the suspects. The heroin was cleverly concealed within soap cases, indicating sophisticated smuggling tactics employed by the perpetrators.

Three smugglers were apprehended during the operation, marking a significant blow to the drug trafficking network operating in the region. Investigations revealed a larger scheme involving the transportation of heroin from neighboring states with the intention of smuggling it abroad through Cachar.

The arrested individuals are currently undergoing interrogation at Silchar Sadar Police Station, facing charges related to heroin trafficking.
