Candle light march organised in memory of Ayan Mazumder- Silchar demands justice for the loss

Ayan murder case, People of Silchar took out a candlelight procession from the foot of the Khudiram statue on Monday, visited different areas of the city and ended in front of Prematala Goldighi, demanding the execution of the killer. The NGOs of different groups of Silchar demanded a strict action. On this day, they demanded the government to hang the culprits.

For the justice of 8-year-old Ayan, who was brutally murdered openly by youth Apu Majumdar over a land dispute, huge crowd of people, including journalists and representatives of several organizations and NGOs participated in a candlelight march that held in the Silchar town.

The protest started at Khudiram statue, then proceeded through other streets in Silchar finishing at Goldighi Mahal. Apu Majumdar, who has already been detained by the police, had to be hanged, the protesters demanded while carrying candles and placards.
