Chaotic situation at Silchar Mediland hospital following child's tragic death; Doctor faces allegations of negligence

Mediland Hospital, located in Itkhola near Silchar, witnessed a tumultuous situation on Sunday following the tragic death of a child. The grieving family of the deceased child has raised serious concerns, alleging negligence against Dr. Tilak Upadhyay, prompting demands for a thorough investigation into the hospital's medical services.

The distressing incident unfolded when Dilwar Hussain Lashkar of Pachgram admitted his pregnant wife to Mediland Hospital on the advice of Dr. Tilak Upadhyay around five o'clock last Saturday afternoon. The situation escalated when, at ten o'clock that night, a nurse administered an injection to ease the severe labor pains. Subsequently, the wife gave birth on Monday morning. Shockingly, a nurse from the hospital later appeared with the newborn in a carton, delivering the devastating news to the family.

The family, shaken by the sudden tragedy, alleges that Dr. Tilak Upadhyay was unavailable when contacted immediately after the incident. In conversations with media representatives, the grieving father, Dilwar Hussain, attributed the incident to the doctor's negligence. He expressed his intention to pursue legal action against Mediland's medical services, urging the administration to initiate a high-level investigation into the matter.
