Assam's CM Himanta Biswa Sharma being aware of the popular sentiments calls for review of Population Control Board's ban on crackers in diwali.

Last friday, assam pollution control board issued a notice imposing total ban in bursting and sale of fire crackers except the green crackers. This decision hurted a section of people in across the state and many questioned on imposing ban on crackers during a hindu festival.

Assam's CM Himanta Biswa Sharma being aware of the popular sentiments calls for review of Population Control Board's ban on crackers in diwali. In his statement he said, "The entire issue is being reviewed afresh, holistically, keeping people's sentiments in mind."
