Collision between a truck and a traveller bus in Digorkhal: 13 injured

In a severe head-on collision between a Guwahati-bound passenger bus and a 12-wheeler truck, 13 people have been injured as per report, including the truck driver. The accident occurred in the early hours near Sharma Hotel in Digorkhal Shivnagar.

The high-speed passenger bus (AS 01 LC-2394) coming from Guwahati collided with the truck (AS 25 BC 4237) heading towards Meghalaya. The impact resulted in significant injuries to several bus passengers. According to reports from Pratidin Times, a total of 13 individuals were hurt in the incident.

Eyewitnesses allege that the bus driver was intoxicated while driving and managed to flee the scene immediately after the collision. The truck driver, however, sustained severe injuries. Prompt action by local residents led to the rescue of the injured, who were swiftly transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
