Continue coaching classes with 50% attendence, ordered Assam Government.

The government of Assam has ordered coaching institutes to continue classes at a 50% attendance in districts with more than 100 COVID-19 cases. According to the authorization of the Ministry of Secondary Education of Assam, said that online courses should also be provided when needed. The ordinance state that the women teaching and non-teaching staff with children under 5 years of age shall be exempted from attending schools or coaching institutes. The Health and Family Welfare Minister of Assam, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, also shared the order on Twitter and pointed out: “In continuation of our earlier notice on districts over 100 cases, today Govt has ordered that coaching institutes shall run with 50% capacity. Also, women teaching / non-teaching staff with children below 5 yrs shall be exempted from attending schools/coaching.”
