A restaurant owner in Jahangirpuri, northwest Delhi, was arrested by the Delhi Police after complaints were received about him selling biryani on disposable plates with an image of Lord Ram on them.

It was later discovered that the shopkeeper had purchased 1,000 plates from a manufacturer, with just four of them featuring the image of Lord Ram. The shopkeeper claimed to be unaware of the image on the plates, which was confirmed by the factory owners.

The incident came to light when the Delhi Police received a call about the sale of biryani on plates with a picture of Lord Ram. The shopkeeper was detained under CrPC sections 107 and 151 (preventive detention) and later released. The plates were seized as part of the investigation, although no case has been registered so far.

The matter is currently under investigation by the Delhi Police to determine any further actions that may need to be taken. It is important to ensure that religious sentiments are not hurt unintentionally, and steps should be taken to prevent such incidents in the future.
