May 19: On Sunday evening, the 147th battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in Kashipur organized various activities to commemorate the eleventh Martyrs' Day. The event, held at 5 PM, honored the memory of eleven martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the preservation of the Bengali language.

The commemoration began with a memorial service led by Commandant Bruno Albert, who paid tribute to the martyrs. The event featured students from various local schools who performed songs and dances in different languages, showcasing cultural unity and diversity.

Commandant Bruno Albert, along with Reverend Father Surojit Tikka, Principal of Don Bosco School; S.K. Sharma, Principal of Srikona Kendriya Vidyalaya; Father Sangram, Principal of Pailapool Vincent School; and Mubin Ahmed, Security Officer of ONGC, graced the occasion and appreciated the students' performances.

The evening was a poignant reminder of the importance of linguistic and cultural preservation, reflecting the collective respect for those who laid down their lives for the Bengali language.
