Customers allegedly fall ill after consuming cake from Tarapur's renowned Taraknath Bakery

Customers have allegedly fallen ill after consuming cakes from the long-established and renowned Taraknath Bakery located in Tarapur.

On Sunday, Dipankar Das, a resident of Shivbari Road in Tarapur, purchased a cake from the bakery to celebrate his father's birthday in the evening.

Shortly after cutting and consuming the cake, Dipankar and his family members noticed a bitter taste following the initial sweetness.

Alarmed by the unpleasant flavor, Dipankar immediately returned to the bakery to report the issue. Instead of providing a satisfactory explanation, the bakery staff attributed the problem to a mechanical malfunction in the cake-making process.

Dipankar Das, addressing the media, expressed his disappointment and concern. He recounted how he had bought the cake with great enthusiasm to celebrate his father's birthday, only to have the occasion marred by illness among his family members after consuming the cake.

He has called upon the authorities to take note of the incident and ensure appropriate action is taken. Dipankar Das is seeking justice for the health risks posed by the bakery's products.
