COVID-19 UPDATE ON BARAK VALLEY
(1)A female patient who was tested positive for Covid-19 died on Monday.
(2) The patient died at the Silchar Medical College and Hospital (SMCH) at 5:00 PM.
(3) Her name was Fatima Begum, she was from Kaliganj Bazar in Karimganj district.
(4) On 18 April, she was admitted to SMCH. Fatima Begum was on ventilation since 18 April, she breathed her last today.
(5) 3 hours after Fatima Begum died
Another 56-year-old patient name Debobrata Dey who was tested positive for Covid-19 died at Silchar Medical College and Hospital.
(6) He was the resident of Saratpally, Silchar.
(7) On 24 April He was admitted to SMCH with fever, cough, shortness of breath.
(8) He was also a case of Hypertension, Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus presented with fever, dry cough, myalgia and breathlessness.
(9) Cause of his death is Covid pneumonia.
(10) He took his last breath at 7.55 PM on April 26. Dr. Baska Gupta, ( Vice-principal of SMCH ) gave this information.
