COVID-19 UPDATE ON INDIA
(1)More than 3 lakh new cases are being reported every day in India and more than 2,000 peoples die due to the Covid-19 virus.
(2) The Covid-19 pandemic has put a strain on the country's medical infrastructure, with hospitals struggling with a shortage of oxygen and beds.
COVID-19 UPDATE ON ASSAM
(1) The government of Assam has authorized the Deputy Commissioner and Chairman of the DDMA to close education institutions from pre-primary to universities including hostels.
(2) In the district where the number of COVID cases exceeded 300 in the past 10 days.
(3) Classes will continue in online mode.
(4) It is directed by the Deputy Commissioners that the districts in which Covid-19 cases cross 100 should suspend classes from VI to VIII.
(6) Today Assam's Health Minister post a summary of the latest Covid-19 update on Twitter " Today's Total 3132, Overall Positivity Percentage (3132 )cases out of 62628 test done (5.00%), Kamrup(M) 1313 Death - 18".
(7) This restriction takes effect every day from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.
(8) The State Disaster Management Authority, said in its order that the curfew will remain in force till May.
(9) This order, exempts those involved in providing emergency services at medical
establishments, police forces, prisons, fire brigade, district administrations, and public transport and other offices. Judicial officers and staff of courts, all passengers with valid tickets, journalists and people out to get their vaccine doses have also been kept out of the curfew"s ambit.
(10) Those connected with banking, insurance and ATM work, internet service broadcasting and inclusive service will also get discounts. In addition, those involved in petrol pumps, LPG, etc., among others, are exempted. In addition, the movement of people to provide essential services and commodities such as groceries, fruits, vegetables, milk, meat and fish, fodder and medicines ”
(11) Those who are exempted will have to carry a valid ID.
COVID-19 UPDATE ON BARAK VALLEY
(1) The government of Assam has imposed a curfew throughout the state tonight and The same will be also followed at Cachar district.
(2) On Tuesday Hailakandi reported 16 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of corona-virus cases in the district to 3,454.
(3) On Tuesday 16 active cases were detected, Out of which 12 have been found positive under Rapid Antigen Test ( RAT ).
(4) 1423 samples have been found Covid-19 positive using (RT-PCR) and 2031 samples have been found Covid-19 positive using (RAT).
(5) 487 sample results are pending at Silchar Medical College and Hospital.
(6) There are a total of 70 active COVID-19 cases in the district and 3361 patients have recovered from Coronavirus.
(7) 15 patients are presently undergoing
treatment at SK Roy Civil Hospital and 55 kept under home isolation.
(8)175,794 samples of COVID-19 have been tested, including 1,110 samples collected in the last 24 hours.
(9) In the first wave of the pandemic, 9 people died due to Covid-19 in the district.
