COVID-19 UPDATE ON INDIA

(1) On Thursday India has reported more than 3.14 lakh new Covid-19 cases.

(2) According to data from the Ministry of health, in the past 24 hours, 2,104 people have died due to the Coronavirus.

COVID-19 UPDATE ON ASSAM

(1) Today samples of double mutant strains were found at Dibrugarh Airport.

(2) Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma delivered information on SARS-CoV-2 or was labelled B.617 and warned citizens.

(3) samples collected from Dibrugarh Airport are founded positive for the B.617 strain or the Indian double mutant strain (L452R and E484Q) of SARS-Cov-2. Assam Health Minister tweeted a post on his Twitter handle, he said: " We have to be very careful".

(4) As per the report published in Down to Earth, "the Indian" double mutant "variant of SARS-CoV-2, B.617, by-passes the reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction or the RT-PCR test.

(5) The double mutant strain has been found in other states of India. The State names are Maharashtra, Delhi and West Bengal.

COVID-19 UPDATE ON BARAK VALLEY

(1) 49 fresh cases of coronavirus were reported in the Cachar district on Thursday.

(2) District Surveillance Officer ( DSO ), IDSP, Cachar Dr.Ibrahim Ali Ahmed informed that "1,928 samples were tested in Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) out of which 35 samples were found Covid-19 Positive and 14 more were detected Covid-19 positive in ( RT-PCR )".

(3) The total number of Covid-19 cases in Cachar is 11,933 out of which 11,604 patients were discharged from the observation.

(4) 22 patients were admitted to Silchar Medical College and Hospital (SMCH), 11 patients in Green Heals Pvt hospital, 8 in MH and 8 in SM  Dev Civil Hospital.

(5) 242 people's are in home isolation.

(6) The active Covid-19 cases in Cachar is 291.

(7) Out of a total of 419 air passengers, 6 passengers were founded Covid-19 positive in Cachar.
