DC Cachar holds press conference ahead of vote counting on June 4

May 28: On Tuesday, a press conference was held in the conference room of the District Commissioner’s office in preparation for the upcoming vote counting on June 4 for the Lok Sabha elections. 

During the press conference, District Commissioner Rohan Kumar Jha announced that Sonabari Ghat to Ramnagar Bypass would be closed on June 3, the day before the vote counting.

To ensure no untoward incidents occur on the day of the vote counting, a large contingent of CRPF and paramilitary forces will be deployed at Silchar ISBT. The vote counting on June 4 will take place under tight security.
