Dead body found outside Gynecology department of Silchar Medical College and Hospital, police appeal for assistance

Locals made a grim discovery in front of the Gynecology Department at Silchar Medical College Hospital as they stumbled upon the lifeless body of an unidentified individual. Promptly, the information was relayed to the Silchar Medical Ghungoor Out Post, prompting a swift response from the local police.

Officers from the Ghungoor Out Post rushed to the scene equipped with necessary equipment. Upon arrival, they discovered the deceased person and conducted a thorough examination. A piece of paper found on the body revealed the name as Karthik Roy, aged 25, with Sudesh Roy listed as the father. The individual was identified as a resident of Lalganj in the Bhaskar Nagar district of Assam.

The police have currently placed the body in the custody of the Ghungoor Out Post, and it is being held in the mortuary of the Medical College Hospital. Authorities are urging relatives of the deceased to contact the Ghungoor Out Post at the earliest convenience. In the event that no relatives come forward within seventy-two hours, the police will adhere to the prescribed rules and regulations of the medical college to perform the last rites.
