Dessert is a course that concludes a meal. The course consists of sweet foods, ice cream, Cookie's or cakes. The word dessert emerged in the seventeenth century, derived from the French verb "desservir" meaning "to clear the table" in English.
The desire to improve our mood by ingesting sugar is an important factor for the intake of desserts. Sweet snacks increase our production of the so-called hormone of happiness.

1. Rasgulla
Already started to salivate, isn't it? The name itself is so sweet then just imagine the taste of this. It is made from Chenna. These spherical dumplings are cooked in a sweet syrup until the juice infiltrates the dough. In fact, a film has been released regarding the discovery of Rasgulla.
2. Sandesh
Bengalis are known for their love of sweet dishes and Sandesh is one among them. It is also made from Chenna, a residue of curdled milk.
3. Gulab Jamun
This sweet is made from khoya, which is a ball-shaped milk powder. The khoyas are deep-fried and dipped in a sugary syrup.
4. Laddu
Laddu is the most popular festive sweet in India. Whether it be puja or any other celebration, laddu is a must-have. It is the most common offering made to God.
5. Kheer
There are different types of desserts in India but kheer is the most loved one among all. Kheer, Phirni and Payasam are all different variants of Indian milk puddings.
Mithais or sweet dishes are an integral part of Indian cuisine. Eating a sugary dessert causes serotonin levels to rise in the brain, which makes us feel calmer and happier.
