Doctor from Silchar assaulted by cops?

Police violence has become a common phenomenon these days, one such incident has happened with Indadul Mazumder, a medical officer.

After reaching Silchar, he was stopped by a group of policemen at Pailapool Chariali. As a part of the investigation, he stated that he was a doctor and was travelling on permission from DC ma'am, to which the policeman caught him by his collar and pulled him out of the car. One policeman who introduced himself as SDPO even slapped him and in no time brutal assaults with lathis had started showering on him.
He was taken to Lakhipur Police Station and was threatened to be framed in a false charge and later released after he had to apologise verbally. The doctor says he's traumatized by this incident and has undergone many physical and mental injuries.
