In a significant move towards agricultural innovation, Brahmaputra Valley Fertilizer Corporation Limited (BVFCL) has launched a series of practical demonstrations featuring drone technology. The demonstrations, conducted across various Gaon Panchayats in Assam and the northeastern states of Tripura, Meghalaya, Nagaland, and Arunachal Pradesh, aim to showcase the benefits of advanced farming practices.
Initiated under the Vikshit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY), this project aligns with the PM-PRANAM Scheme, emphasizing sustainable farming through the effective use of nano urea. The demonstrations, totaling 25-30 per day, highlight the role of drone technology in precision agriculture and its potential to revolutionize the farming landscape.
Local communities actively participated in these events, contributing their perspectives and insights. This collective engagement not only demonstrated a shared responsibility for sustainable agriculture but also emphasized the community-centric approach of the PM-PRANAM Scheme.
In addition to the drone demonstrations, public meetings were organized to raise awareness about water-soluble fertilizers and promote the balanced use of fertilizers. These efforts align with the overarching goals of the PM-PRANAM Scheme, focusing on environmental restoration, nurturing Mother Earth, and embracing technological advancements for sustainable agriculture.
