Elderly man seriously injured as electric pole collapses in Katigorah, blame electricity department

In an unexpected turn of events, an electric pole collapsed in Thandapur near Barak Bridge, causing severe injury to an elderly man named Rukon Uddin. The incident occurred as an auto vehicle was parked in the area, with Rukon Uddin standing nearby.

 Without warning, the electric pole collapsed, striking both the vehicle and Rukon Uddin, resulting in serious injuries. Local residents rushed to his aid and transported him to Katigara Model Hospital, but due to the critical nature of his condition, he was subsequently transferred to Silchar Medical College and Hospital.

Rukon Uddin's son, Ali Amin, has attributed blame to the electricity department for the accident, raising concerns about the safety and maintenance of infrastructure such as electric poles. This incident underscores the importance of regular inspections and maintenance to prevent such unfortunate accidents from occurring in the future.
