Facebook, Whatsapp, Instagram Down, Possible server crash

Facebook, Whatsapp and Instagram are facing issues with their servers as several users are unable to send messages and also unable to use the social giants. The possible reason for this might be a server crash which we have come across several times recently. The server of the social giants came into a stall at around 21:15 IST. The issue is addressed by several Twitter users on Twitter. According to the outage tracking website Downdetector.com, more than 20k people were reporting about the issues with Facebook, Whatsapp and Instagram.

The massive longest outage happened for users worldwide on Monday, 4 October for almost 8 hours. Users were unable to receive or send messages, or refresh their feeds.

Shares of Facebook fell 4.9 percent on Monday, their biggest daily drop since last November and according to ad measurement firm standard media index, Facebook was losing about $545,000 in US ad revenue per hour during the outage. Some of Facebook's internal applications, including the company's Menlo park, California, campus were unable to access offices and conference room that require a security badge.
