Fatal accident on Silchar-Aizawl Road Claims Father-Son's Life, reveals Alcohol Smuggling Plot

In a tragic incident on the Silchar-Aizawl Highway at Uttar Krishnapur in Silchar earlier on Monday that is yesterday, a horrifying collision occurred between an LPG-loaded truck and a passenger auto-rickshaw, resulting in the tragic deaths of two individuals. The victims, identified as Kunjamani Sinha, a retired Assam Rifles Jawan, and his son Prabin Sinha, both residents of Sonai, Nagdirgram, lost their lives in the devastating accident.
According to eyewitnesses, Kunjamani Sinha and his son were traveling in their auto-rickshaw, en route to Silchar Railway Station to drop off relatives. The accident occurred on their way back, near the Uttar Krishnapur area, where a speeding LPG-loaded truck collided head-on with their vehicle. The impact was so severe that it led to the immediate and unfortunate demise of both Kunjamani Sinha and Prabin Sinha.
What makes this incident even more alarming is the behavior of the truck driver. After the collision, the driver of the LPG-loaded truck fled the scene, leaving the vehicle behind. Promptly responding to the accident, local police discovered the lifeless bodies of the victims and arranged for post-mortem examinations.

However, the investigation took a surprising turn. When authorities attempted to recover the LPG-loaded truck, they found a concealed stash of alcohol bottles hidden within the LPG cylinder. The discovery of numerous alcohol bottles hidden in the truck suggests an apparent attempt at illegal alcohol smuggling.
