Film Club of Assam University screens "Jallikattu" at Mass Communication Department.

Jallikattu is a 2019 Oscar Nominated Indian Malayalam-language independent action thriller film directed by Lijo Jose Pellissery with a screenplay by S. Hareesh and R. Jayakumar, based on the short story Maoist by Hareesh. The film stars Antony Varghese, Chemban Vinod Jose, Sabumon Abdusamad and Santhy Balachandran.

HOD of Mass Communication Prof. Dr. Partha, Convenor Prof. Dr. Alfarid Hussain, Dean Dr. G.P. Pandey, Visual Arts Faculty Dr. Raj Kumar Mazinder and Conrdinator of the flim club Rajat Nandi were present during the screening. Also, students from different departments of the University were present during the screening. This is the second screen by the association.

Earlier, the committee screened their own produced Documentary film on Assam University "From Stones to Miles Stones- Assam University at 30". The documentary was screened at Bipin Chandar Pal Auditorium, Assam University.
